I stayed here for two nights in a Twin Room Private Bathroom. Nice comfy beds with outstanding countryside views made for a welcoming start. Breakfast impressed me with fresh fruits and a good range of options. The full English breakfast was well-cooked. The location is fantastic for discovering nearby attractions. the shower had an issue with water pressure that made it splash everywhere. I noticed some noise from traffic since the lodge is right on a main road, which was a bit disruptive. Even though I loved the beautiful outdoor areas, I'd suggest better soundproofing.

Great upgrade and cozy vibes
Had a nice 2-night stay in a cozy double room. Our room was clean and the view from the patio was lovely, perfect for warm evenings. The bar's atmosphere was fun and the food was tasty, especially the fresh buffet breakfast! Just a bit noisy from traffic since we were on the main road, but nothing too crazy.

Our family had a wonderful time exploring the nearby Hastings Pier and enjoying the fresh air. The kids loved the walking routes, especially the 1066 Country Walk, which added an unexpected adventure to our trip. The hotel's gardens were stunning and created a lovely atmosphere.
For dads, it would be great if the rooms had more comfortable beds. My kids wished for some recreational options right on-site to keep them entertained during downtime.

good experience but needs better soundproofing
The room had thoughtful decor and was impeccably clean. The hot breakfast was tasty and offered various delicious options.
The property is on a busy main road, and while the double glazing helped, some noise still filtered through.

Lovely stay with great dining
We had a fantastic time here. The room was cozy with a cute little balcony overlooking the courtyard. The breakfast was the best part—so many choices! The bar outside was perfect for drinks in the sun. Only trouble was the buffet breakfast ran out a bit too quickly. Still, really enjoyed our stay!

Just a proper fit for a brief hiatus in Winchelsea with attractive and competitive value for money. The room was reminiscent of Butlins holiday camp, but it gave me a sense of nostalgia. If you’re looking for a basic, budget-friendly place, this is fine.
